Millwright Water Plant

Become an integral Industrial Millwright at the City of Thunder Bay's Water Pollution Control Plant. Maintain essential wastewater operations with a focus on safety and environmental integrity.

As a full-time Industrial Millwright for the City of Thunder Bay, you will ensure smooth and efficient functionality of wastewater treatment facilities.

Your role includes adhering to a Preventative Maintenance System, operating essential machinery, and recommending improvements. This collaborative position supports both personal well-being and environmental care, working Monday to Friday.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform maintenance and troubleshooting on machinery

• Operate pumps, valves, and generators efficiently

• Monitor equipment for wear and report abnormalities

• Recommend process improvements for plant operations

• Update facility documentation as required

Requirements:

• Grade 12 education or equivalent certification

• Journeyman Certification as an Industrial Mechanic Millwright (433A)

• Practical experience in industrial machinery maintenance

• Ability to read engineering and mechanical drawings

• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
