Beckley’s is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to support the day-to-day accounting operations of a multi-entity organization. This role is responsible for assisting with financial reporting, reconciliations, transaction processing, and maintaining accurate financial records while supporting the Controller and CFO with operational accounting functions.
Day-To-Day Accounting Operations- Assist with the monthly close process across multiple entities
- Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules
- Maintain and reconcile balance sheet accounts, including: bank accounts, credit cards, inventory and floorplan accounts, and intercompnay balance.
- Assist in preparing monthly financial statements and supporting reports
- Review financial data for accuracy and completeness
- Identify and communicate discrepancies or unusual financial activity
- Maintain organized and audit-ready financial documentation
- Process vendor invoices and assist with accounts payable functions
- Assist with customer payments, receivables tracking, and account reconciliation
- Support daily cash management and bank activity monitoring
- Assist with ACH, wire, and payment processing functions
- Support floorplan financing administration, including payoff tracking and reconciliations
- Research and resolve accounting discrepancies as assigned
- Assist with payroll processing and payroll-related reconciliations through Paycom
- Support commission and bonus calculations as assigned
- Assist with maintaining schedules and documentation for audits and compliance reporting
- Support sales tax filings and regulatory reporting processes
- Maintain organized accounting records and compliance documentation
- Assist with business license renewals and financial record maintenance
- Prepare financial reports, schedules, and spreadsheets for leadership review
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting support functions
- Support reporting related to dealership departments including sales, service, parts, and rentals
- Assist in identifying accounting process improvements and operational efficiencies
- Support implementation and optimization of accounting systems and reporting tools
- Collaborate with leadership and department managers on financial information requests
- 2–5 years of accounting, bookkeeping, or finance experience preferred
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and financial reporting
- Experience with account reconciliations, journal entries, and transaction processing
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Effective communication and problem‑solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software systems
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
- CPA or CPA-track preferred
- Experience in dealership, automotive, marine, or asset-intensive industries
- Familiarity with Integrated Dealer Services (IDS) software
