The Automotive Technician is a full-time, on-site role based at Criswell Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM of Thurmont in Thurmont, MD. Day-to-day responsibilities include performing routine maintenance such as oil changes and inspections, diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, and completing repair work on various vehicle systems. The technician will work on brakes, suspension, and general automotive repair, following manufacturer guidelines and dealership standards.

Additional duties include using diagnostic equipment, documenting work performed, communicating findings to service advisors, and helping maintain a safe and organized service bay. The role involves working collaboratively with other technicians and service team members to ensure timely, high-quality service for customers.

• Strong skills in Vehicle Maintenance and Maintenance & Repair, with the ability to follow manufacturer specifications and service procedures.
• Hands-on experience with Oil Changes and routine service tasks for a variety of makes and models.
• Proficiency in Automotive Repair, including engine, drivetrain, brake systems, and general mechanical troubleshooting.
• Practical knowledge of Suspension components and repair, including diagnosis and replacement of related parts.
• Relevant automotive certifications (ASE or manufacturer-specific) preferred; willingness to pursue ongoing training and certification.
• Ability to use diagnostic tools, service manuals, and repair documentation accurately and efficiently.
• Strong attention to detail, safety-focused work habits, and the ability to manage time effectively in a busy shop environment.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and the ability to operate a variety of vehicles.
