Customer Service Rep, Retail Associate/ Customer Service, Merchandising, Retail Sales
Position Summary
Store team member located at 202 East Main Street, Thurmont, Maryland. Pay starts at $15.15 per hour. The role supports Goodwill of Central and Northern Arizona (GCNA) and affiliated entities, focusing on excellent customer service and sales promotion.
Responsibilities- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system and process all forms of payment.
- Ask each customer for cash donations at the register.
- Determine pricing for items by identifying merchandise markings or consulting an on‑site leader.
- Complete closing procedures and maintain consistent in‑person attendance.
- Greet arriving customers and thank those leaving.
- Maintain the sales floor by following floor‑work and picture‑process‑map (PPM) standards.
- Stock merchandise in assigned areas.
- Use phone and paging systems to make scheduled announcements.
- Keep the store clean, safe, and compliant with safety standards.

- High school diploma or equivalent experience.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Strong mathematical skills (preferred).
- Clear verbal and written English communication.
- Minimum age 16 years.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen, as required.
- Proficient English reading and speaking.
