Performs a variety of non‑teaching classroom support and student personal care services as directed under the supervision of an assigned teacher, including assisting the classroom teacher with daily classroom activities and assisting student learning in small group or one‑on‑one settings. Paraprofessional may include EC (Early Childhood) classroom, MD (Multiple Disabilities) classroom, Cross Categorical classroom, One‑on‑one position, or as assigned.

Nonexempt

• High school diploma
• Valid Ohio Aide Permit with ESEA Qualified Endorsement
• Ability to physically manage students with disabilities
• Self‑directed and able to learn required skills for the position
• Maintain a workplace free of alcohol or non‑prescribed controlled substances throughout employment in the ESC
• Successful completion of communicable disease, child abuse, CPR, first aid, CPI, and/or behavioral management training or other training as needed
• Ability to efficiently multi‑task on a daily basis
• Proficiency with use of technology hardware and basic software (e.g., Microsoft Office), email, and office equipment (copier, fax, scanner, telephone, etc.)
• Proficiency with web‑based applications (e.g., Google Docs, DEWs website, social media, etc.) and NCOESC databases
• Ability to preserve confidentiality of student information and records

• Criminal justice fingerprint/background (FBI/BCI)
• Public health clearances
