A well-established original equipment manufacturer is hiring an Automation Engineer to join their project management team. The Automation Engineer will work within a team of engineers to design, build and debug robotic automation systems. Daily you will report to an Electrical Engineering Team Lead.
Responsibilities- Assist with quoting robotic systems for equipment builds
- Design, develop and program robotic systems, including end of arm tooling
- Assist mechanical engineers and technicians with debugging systems
- Travel to customer sites for robotic set up and advanced troubleshooting
- Manage up to five projects at a time, all at various stages
- Train end users on robotic systems
- Utilize robotic simulation software to ensure structural and reach requirements
- Represent the company in a professional manner that will foster and build internal and external relationships
- Other duties as directed by management

Requirements for the Automation Engineer- OEM (original equipment manufacturer) or integrator experience
- Skilled trades background
- Working knowledge of PLCs, robotics, etc.
- Customer communication
- Work with an established team and a manager who has worked for the company for over 20 years
