Tiffin Schools Treasurer

Job Description

Tiffin City School District is seeking a qualified financial leader for the position of Treasurer. North Central Ohio Educational Service Center will be assisting the Tiffin City School Board of Education with its search. All applications will be reviewed by the Tiffin City School Board of Education.

The position requires a licensed Treasurer with proven leadership capabilities, a passion for children, a commitment to the district and community, along with administrative experience. The ideal candidate shall demonstrate the following financial leadership characteristics:

• Strong financial and detail-oriented reporting skills
• Knowledge of state and local funding issues, Ohio laws and regulations about public schools
• Experience in effective process management and organizational skills
• Expertise in developing, communicating, and managing business office procedures
• Experience with and understanding of operating software and procedures
• Proven ability to work with others – a team player
• Ability to facilitate educational discussions/decisions through an economic perspective
• Excellent interpersonal and practical communication skills
• Leadership skills for staff and various finance committees
• Experience with contract negotiations

• Bachelor’s degree preferred
