Overview
Cook 1 – Join our team at the Tiffin Developmental Center. The Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities (DODD) partners with people and communities to support Ohioans with developmental disabilities and their families in realizing their version of a good life.
Responsibilities- Preparing and cooking food for individuals residing at the facility according to prescribed diets (e.g., cleaning, cutting, slicing, mixing and texturizing).
- Operation of commercial kitchen equipment.
- Storage of food with attention to expiration dates.
- Cleaning work area, equipment and utensils.
- Formal education in arithmetic (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division); 3 months of training or 3 months of experience in food preparation, sanitation, storage and use of food service equipment in institutional, school or restaurant settings.
- Or equivalent of the Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above.
