American Traveler is seeking an experienced CT Technologist with at least 2 years of recent hospital-based CT experience, ARRT certification, and BLS.
Responsibilities- Work in a hospital setting as a multi-modality technologist covering CT and additional imaging modalities
- Shift is 11:00 AM to 11:30 PM, every fourth weekend, and every other holiday
- Average caseload is 3 patients per hour, subject to change with staffing availability
- Patient care includes ED patients and use of GE CT and X-ray equipment
- On-call scheduling may be required
- May float between multiple departments during shifts
- Preferred experience with Epic EHR, PACS, and RIS systems
- Position includes performing imaging procedures in two modalities such as CT, XR, or MRI
- Responsible for obtaining patient clinical history, performing venipuncture, administering and managing contrast or medications per protocol, and ensuring safety for self and patients
- EKG test required on first day with two attempts permitted; study guides provided
- May be required to travel to off-site locations and work independently at times
- Work environment includes exposure to infectious materials, hazardous substances, and high-stress or high-noise conditions
- Scrub or department guidelines may apply
- Every other holiday and every fourth weekend required
- Local candidates accepted with a 50-mile radius rule and adjusted rate
- Current ARRT certification and Ohio licensure required if applicable
- BLS certification required (may be obtained prior to start if not in hand)
- Minimum 2 years of recent radiology technologist experience
- Minimum 2 years of CT experience in a hospital setting
- CT registry preferred
- Associate’s degree from an ARRT-accredited program or equivalent preferred
- Previous travel experience preferred
- Proficiency with GE CT and X-ray equipment preferred
- Competency with two imaging modalities required, with certification within 12 months
- Physical ability to lift/carry up to 100 lbs, push/pull weights, and perform extensive walking, standing, and balancing
