JOB TITLE
DSP / Direct Support Professional (DODD-Certified)
Experience Requirements- Minimum of 1-year paid experience in home care is required (experience with home health agency desired)
- Active DODD Certification is required
- Seneca County and surrounding areas.
- Willingness to travel to/from client throughout Seneca County is required (30-45 minute radius).
- Willingness to travel to clients up to at least a 45-60 minute radius (from your home) is required if additional hours are desired, primarily consisting of surrounding areas in Seneca, Wood, and/or adjacent counties.
- Part-Time or Full-Time available + desire for Long-term commitment (2+ years at HCN)
- Must be willing and able to start immediately with PT hours (approx. 20+ hrs/wk)
- 30-day build-up to additional Part-Time or Full-Time (32-40 hrs/wk) hours is available if desired (not required)
- IMMEDIATE availability needed; requires Weekday - daytime schedule (exact start + end times are customizable).
- Additional case hours available Full-Time employment on weekday, Weekend, and hybrid schedules.
STARTING PAY RATE: $15 - $19/hr
Pay Rate based on certifications, experience, schedule and travel availability, work history, references, and overall fit.
About the CompanyHome Care Network, Inc. is URGENTLY SEEKING an experienced, compassionate, and professional DoDD-Certified DSP to join our home health agency and provide hands‑on personal care and support to a pediatric client in Seneca County, OH.
Responsibilities- Personal care, hygiene and Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including safe transfers, and mobility/positioning support
- Support safe use of assistive devices (walkers, wheelchairs, lifts) - as needed
- Nutrition & Meal / Meal Prep Support
- Homemaking & Environmental Support (IADLs) including light housekeeping, errands, and tasks required to maintain a clean, safe, and organized home environment
- Community Engagement & Appointment Support, Coordination, and (in approved situations) Transportation
- Basic Health and Safety Monitoring
- Care Plan Implementation
- Dementia & Behavioral Support (if applicable)
- Demonstrated ability to follow a written Plan of Care
- Pro‑active observation and excellent electronic documentation
- Supporting client independence, safety and confidentiality
- Professional, caring, and compassionate behavior to clients, client families, and your peers / co‑workers
- Total Care Team Collaboration
- Ongoing Training & Certification Requirements
- Immediate start with 20+ hours: part-time, weekday position requiring consistent availability.
- Weekdays: daytime and evening shifts are required.
- Additional case hours available for more Part‑Time or Full‑Time employment on weekday, Weekend, and hybrid schedules.
- Local travel within Marion + Richland Counties | Expanded cases/hours may include adjacent Counties
- Minimum of 1 year paid in‑home care or caregiving experience (agency experience desirable but not required)
- Active DoDD Certification in good standing is required; 1+ years experience as DSP highly desired.
- Exceptional on‑time and attendance record, and consistent availability aligned to your chosen schedule type (PT/FT/Hybrid).
- Active CPR + FA certification and documentation of both
- Character traits: reliable, honest beyond reproach, professional, compassionate, detail‑oriented (in care + documentation), accountable, friendly and accommodating, respectful
- Willingness and ability to perform required physical demands (see below)
- Consent + Ability to pass a State & Federal background check (including fingerprints)
- 18yo + active Driver's License / State
- Reliable transportation to all scheduled visits, within full reach of stated travel radius
Skills & Qualifications (not required)
- Experience with:
- G‑tubes / feeding support
- Seizure protocols
- Behavioral health or crisis response
- High School diploma or GED
- Active STNA (State Tested Nurse Aide) or CNA certification, or previous home health aide certification
- Previous home health experience (1‑3 years)
- Familiarity with Medicaid waiver services

- No Requirements for On-Call shifts, Weekends, extensive travel distances, or overtime (when not desired).
