Job Overview
Grow with a manufacturing company that values human talent and a collaborative culture. As our Human Resources Manager, you will report to the General Manager and lead a small HR team.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate, further develop, and improve the tactical and strategic plan of human resources for the site.
- Manage the labor strategy of the plant, including collective bargaining, grievances, and contract understanding.
- Determine policy changes as needed and update the company on required initiatives.
- Support the recruitment specialist with the recruitment plan for the company.
- Communicate at executive, manager, and staff levels to resolve HR inquiries and concerns.
- Coach and mentor company team members on HR-related concerns, including leading, coaching and overseeing HR staff members.
- Ensure plant compliance as an expert related to FMLA, ADA, EEO and OSHA.
- Support benefits specialist with benefits administration.
- Work within the company ERP system and HRIS system for reporting and documentation.
- Support, develop, and administer site training at all levels of the plant.
- Empower and coach the HR team to meet their individual and team goals.
- Manage multiple HR projects at a time.
- Utilize the company ATS (applicant tracking system) for verification of hours, documentation and reporting.
- Participate in policy review and stay updated on employment law.
- Lead and conduct employee relations, including needed investigations and resolving employee conflict.
- Support EHS Manager with BWC and OSHA log documentation and communication.
- Provide insight as a key confidant to the General Manager.
- Establish and improve HR practices based on data and analysis.
- Complete additional tasks as assigned.
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree, preferably in a related field.
- At least five years of experience working in a lead manufacturing HR position.
- Experience overseeing others.
- Experience with unionized workforce.
- Strong HR compliance skills.
- Background in recruitment.
- Strong employee relations experience.
- HRIS experience.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
- HR certifications.
- ERP experience.

LocationThe position is located in Tiffin, OH. Candidates must be local; relocation is not available.
