Key Responsibilities:

As the Director of HR, you will provide overarching strategic vision and operational leadership to a dedicated team across multiple sites. Key execution areas include:

  • Strategic Business Alignment:
    Drive the overarching HR vision by integrating departmental strategies with key enterprise goals, fostering cross-functional alignment, and championing continuous workforce optimization.
  • Executive Coaching & Leadership Development:
    Act as a trusted strategic advisor to managers and executives, facilitating executive coaching, high-level conflict resolution, and modern talent strategy execution.
  • Workforce Continuity & Leave Strategy:
    Direct enterprise-wide leave programs (FMLA, ADA, Disability, USERRA), governing interactive ADA processes and partnering with finance/payroll to ensure a frictionless employee experience.
  • Governance, Policy & SOP Ownership:
    Architect, refine, and enforce scalable HR policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to mitigate operational risk, strengthen compliance, and ensure structural data integrity.
  • Employee Relations & Organizational Health:
    Lead strategic employee relations frameworks and complex investigations, ensuring consistent, equitable, and resolution-focused outcomes aligned with enterprise risk management.
  • Talent Elevation & Performance Optimization:
    Architect performance management frameworks, employee engagement initiatives, and succession pathways, leveraging workforce trends to advise leadership on structural improvements.
  • Regulatory Compliance &

    Risk Management:

    Monitor state and federal labor landscapes proactively to safeguard the organization, overseeing back-up operations for Workers' Compensation and Unemployment Risk Management.
  • Targeted Capability Building:
    Design and roll out high-impact training initiatives for leadership and employees, focusing on modern management, policy adherence, legal compliance, and DFWP programs.
  • HR Analytics & Data Insights:
    Harness HR analytics, retention metrics, and workforce data to perform comprehensive compliance audits and guide data-backed executive decision-making.
  • Change Leadership & Cross-Functional Projects:
    Cultivate strong relationships at all organizational tiers, serving as a primary HR advocate in strategic planning and leading strategic projects focused on culture, retention, and employee experience.
Requirements for the Director of HR:
  • A Bachelor's degree is highly preferred; an Associate's degree is required
  • At least five years in a similar HR leadership role
  • Experience overseeing a team of HR professionals
  • Experience leading and participating in strategic HR and company initiatives
  • Experience with Workers' Compensation
  • Experience leading employee relations, including investigations, conflict management, etc.
  • Experience overseeing benefits administration
  • Microsoft Office experience
  • Skills preferred but NOT required:

  • HR certifications
  • HRIS
  • Payroll
  • Multi-site responsibilities
  • Experience overseeing direct and indirect reports
