PROCESS ENGINEER, QRCWorks with Customer Support Representatives worldwide in quoting, processing, and following parts orders. Works with a large variety of National parts and must establish efficient manufacturing processes including the setup of all routings, process plans and bills of material.
Sales Parts Order Support- Collaborates with Customer Support Representatives worldwide to quote, process, and fulfill sales parts orders.
- Support a broad range of National parts and help ensure orders are completed efficiently and accurately.
- Develop efficient manufacturing processes, including routings, process plans, and bills of material.
- Collaborates with Manufacturing employees to estimate manufacturing hours and calculate part costs.
- Coordinate with QRC buyers on outsourced work to achieve the fastest delivery at the best cost.
- Make sourcing decisions at the time of order based on part requirements and available internal and external capacity.
- Use IFS sessions and reports to establish work schedules and track shop orders through completion.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or manufacturing engineering or equivalent manufacturing experience
- Computer experience and familiarity with business systems order processing.
- Ability to read blueprints
- Must be able to work independently with little supervision
- General understanding of GD&T
- Strong manufacturing background
- Effective communication skills
- Scheduling knowledge is helpful
- Machining experience is a plus
- Office environment with frequent shop environment.
- Must be able to work overtime if needed
- Must be able to maintain focus in a demanding environment
