Position: Detox Nurse (RN/ LPN)

About the Opportunity

We are seeking a compassionate and clinically skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) to join our growing behavioral health team. This position plays a critical role in providing nursing care to individuals receiving treatment for substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct nursing assessments, medical screenings, and ongoing monitoring of patient health status.
  • Monitor patients for signs and symptoms of intoxication, withdrawal, and medical complications.
  • Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and nursing standards.
  • Obtain and document vital signs, medical histories, assessments, and patient progress.
  • Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and multidisciplinary treatment teams to coordinate care.
  • Provide patient education regarding medications, treatment plans, health concerns, and recovery support.
  • Monitor and document medication effectiveness, side effects, and patient responses.
  • Assist with laboratory testing, medication reconciliation, and coordination with pharmacies.
  • Identify and report changes in patient condition in a timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate and compliant documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR).
  • Ensure adherence to state regulations, accreditation standards, and facility policies.
  • Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and ongoing professional development.
Qualifications
  • Active Ohio LPN or RN license in good standing.
  • Experience working in behavioral health, substance use disorder treatment, detoxification services, psychiatric care, or a related healthcare setting preferred.
  • Strong assessment, documentation, and clinical decision-making skills.
  • Knowledge of withdrawal management, medication administration, and patient monitoring preferred.
  • Current CPR certification or ability to obtain upon hire.
  • Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders.
  • BSN preferred for RN candidates.
