Adjunct Faculty Positions
ABAC's Department of Education and Wellness is home to an interdisciplinary group of scholars who work together to offer courses in Education, Health, and Physical Education. We are seeking qualified adjunct faculty to teach courses in PHED 1100 Health and Wellness, Physical Education/Activity (PHED 1115 Aerobics, PHED 1121 Yoga, PHED 1125 Walking, PHED 1126 Personal Conditioning, PHED 1135 Recreational Games, PHED 1141 Golf, PHED 1150 Country/Western Line Dance), and First Aid and CPR (PHED 1175 First Aid and CPR, PHED 1176 First Aid & CPR Medical Prof).
Part-time, temporary, adjunct faculty instruct courses on an as-needed basis. Courses may be offered in a traditional face-to-face format, hybrid, or online depending upon the departments need. The Department of Education and Wellness offers courses both at ABAC's main site in Tifton and at the instructional site in Bainbridge. Applicants interested in teaching at either site are welcome to apply.
Applications should include a cover letter, CV/resume, a list of at least three professional references, and unofficial copies of graduate transcripts and professional certifications (as appropriate).
Required Qualifications:
A masters degree with a minimum of 18 credits of graduate coursework in Health, Physical Education, Kinesiology, or related discipline is required for all adjuncts. Instructors of First Aid/CPR coursework are required to hold instructor certification through the American Heart Association. Physical Education/Activity class instructors are expected to hold any activity-specific/industry-recognized certifications in their specific area of instruction.
Preferred Qualifications:
Evidence of successful teaching of college-level coursework preferred.
