Maintenance Technician

Maintenance Technician Comfort Inn & Suites — Tifton, GAPay: $16.00–$18.00 per hour, based on experience

Comfort Inn & Suites in Tifton, GA is looking for a dependable and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the hotel, guest rooms, equipment, and grounds to ensure a safe, clean, comfortable, and well-maintained environment for our guests and employees.

Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance and repairs throughout the hotel and guest rooms.

Respond promptly to guest and hotel maintenance requests.

Troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, lighting, doors, fixtures, and other hotel equipment.

Perform preventive maintenance to help keep hotel equipment and systems operating properly.

Inspect guest rooms, common areas, and exterior areas for maintenance issues.

Perform basic carpentry, painting, drywall, and general building repairs.

Assist with grounds and exterior maintenance as needed.

Maintain maintenance tools, equipment, and work areas in an organized and safe condition.

Keep accurate records of maintenance and repairs.

Identify potential problems and address them before they become larger or more costly issues.

Follow all company safety procedures and maintain a safe environment for guests and employees.

Respond to maintenance emergencies when necessary.

Work closely with hotel management and other departments to address maintenance needs.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications Previous hotel or general maintenance experience preferred.

Working knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general building maintenance.

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple maintenance requests.

Dependable, hardworking, and detail-oriented.

Professional and courteous when interacting with guests and coworkers.

Good communication and customer-service skills.

Ability to perform physical duties including standing, walking, bending, reaching, lifting, and working in various areas of the hotel.

Must be willing to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays as needed.
