The District Manager is a full-time, on-site leadership role located in Tifton, GA, responsible for overseeing the performance, operations, and staffing of multiple Dollar Tree stores within an assigned district. Day-to-day responsibilities include monitoring sales, profitability, and expense control, ensuring execution of merchandising and promotional strategies, and maintaining operational standards, policies, and procedures. The District Manager supports and coaches Store Managers on staffing, training, scheduling, and development to build effective teams and achieve performance goals.
This role includes regular store visits to ensure compliance with safety and loss prevention practices, assess store conditions, and provide feedback and action plans. The District Manager also analyzes performance metrics, prepares reports, and collaborates with regional leadership to drive continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.
- Demonstrated leadership and team management skills, including coaching, performance management, and talent development.
- Strong retail operations experience, with knowledge of merchandising, inventory control, and store profitability drivers.
- Proficiency in analyzing sales and financial data, creating action plans, and using metrics to guide decision-making.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence across multiple locations.
- Solid organizational and time-management skills, including the ability to prioritize, multitask, and manage a multi-store territory.
- Experience in a multi-unit retail management role
- Comfort with using basic office software and retail systems for reporting and operational tasks.
- Ability to travel regularly within the district and work a flexible schedule, including some evenings and weekends.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in business, retail management, or a related field is a plus.
