• Rapidly identify and count small insects under a stereo microscope.
• Assist with insect colonies, including maintaining plant food.
• Plant seeds and seedlings for colonies and research tests.
• Check colonies and plants twice weekly.
• Process and store samples (frozen or in alcohol) on a scheduled weekly basis.
• Attend weekly lab meetings and perform other duties as determined.

• High school diploma preferred.

• Look through the stereo microscope for long periods to perform insect counts.
• Lift soil tubs and standard potting trays with full pots.
• Be on time for assigned work times.
• Driving required; some field work may be needed.
