Position Summary:

Assist lead scientist and technician in the planting, data collection, and harvesting of peanut agronomy research plots. Specific duties include data collection, data entry, plot stake labeling, cleaning and filling sprayers, plot maintenance, and plot photography. Many duties will be conducted early morning (6 a.m.) so punctuality is needed.

• Assistance with field work (20%)

• Plot maintenance (20%)
• Plant analysis (20%)

• High school diploma preferred.
• Ability to collect data in the field.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to take direction.
• Teamwork and individual work skills.
• On the job training will be provided.

Work outside in inclement weather when needed, lift up to 50 lbs, work with and around equipment and be pesticide friendly. Driving required.
