The School Psychologist will provide consultation, assessment, and intervention services to families, staff, and children with disabilities within the ESD’s specialized programs and supported component school districts.
THIS POSITION IS TEMPORARY FOR THE 26/27 SCHOOL YEAR

Licensed Salary Schedule - FTE: 1.0
- Days Per Year: 192
- Master’s degree, required, or higher degree
- Current Oregon School Psychologist License through TSPC with appropriate endorsement(s); or ability to obtain license and endorsement within the timeline specified by district
- Minimum two (2) years of school psychologist experience (any level) preferred
- Valid Driver’s License; available transportation and proof of auto insurance
- Demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging through continuous development, modeling inclusive behaviors, and proactively managing bias
- Ability to exhibit professionalism and effective human relations
- Confer regularly with immediate supervisor
- Proficient in the use of computer and internet‑based applications, including email, internet software, Google Suite, and word processing (MS Word)
- Thorough knowledge of special education laws and procedures
- Participate in screening and development of pre‑referral interventions to determine response to intervention and whether further evaluation is needed
- Function as a team member in the evaluation process
- Assess referred children utilizing a broad range of assessment instruments and techniques
- Assist with the development and implementation of Individual Family Service Plans and/or Individual Education Plans
- Consult with parents, teachers, and other educational personnel to help them understand child development and how it affects learning and behavior
- Provide consultation on the special education needs of children
- Provide individual, group, or consultative services for referred children whose diagnosed needs would be addressed through behavioral interventions
- Prepare and submit the required documentation on children with disabilities
- Cooperate with and develop collaborative relationships with mental health, community health, and other agencies serving and supporting children with special needs; prepare forms as requested by outside agencies
- Attend staff, professional, and interagency meetings
- Assist in conducting in‑service training of ESD and local school district personnel and community members
- Initiate and direct appropriate research that is approved in advance by the ESD
- Keep abreast of new developments in the field
- Maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality
- Work collaboratively and communicate effectively with staff and customers at all organizational levels
- Perform other job duties as assigned
