CNC Mill Operator II or III; Day Shift

Job Number: 10138 Located in: Tigard, OR Pay: $22 to $29 per hour Schedule: Monday – Thursday (4 x 10s), Day shift

This is a temp-to-hire position.

Our client is seeking an experienced Mill Operator with strong 5 Axis CNC background to set up, operate, and lead machining projects. This role requires deep machining knowledge, the ability to work from metric and inch engineered drawings, and hands-on experience with both CNC and manual equipment.

• Set up and operate 5 Axis CNC mills to inch/metric drawing specifications
• Set up and operate CNC vertical mills and manual mills/lathes
• Troubleshoot machining and programming issues
• Perform tooling design, evaluate tooling, and recommend process improvements
• Work directly with engineers on part design, redlines, and corrective actions
• Lead large machining projects from start to finish
• Mentor Machinists I–III
• Perform minor equipment maintenance and maintain tooling
• Perform R&D machining as needed
• Accurately record job labor time and maintain a clean work area

• HS diploma with 2–3 years’ experience, or AA in Machine Technology
• Strong experience operating and setting up 5 Axis CNC equipment
• Able to machine plastics, metals, and specialty materials
• Capable of holding tolerances to ±.005
• Skilled with rotary tables, divider heads, and precision measuring tools
• Able to read and interpret engineered drawings, BOMs, and machine codes
• Strong tooling setup skills: programs, tools, fixtures, offsets
• Ability to operate and set up manual mills and lathes
• CNC programming ability
• Able to lift up to 35 lbs
