Job Description
Our client is hiring an experienced Cabinet Maker / Woodworking Fabricator to build high-quality cabinets, displays, and millwork components from fabrication drawings. This position is ideal for a skilled woodworker who has hands‑on experience building cabinetry from plans, working with laminates and veneers, and using professional woodworking equipment. This is not an installation role. The ideal candidate will have shop-based woodworking experience producing cabinets and display components using materials such as plywood, MDF, laminate, acrylic, and wood.
The ability to read fabrication drawings and work independently while maintaining high quality standards is essential.
- Build cabinets, display components, and millwork from fabrication drawings and work orders
- Measure, cut, assemble, and finish components using woodworking machinery and hand tools
- Work with materials such as plywood, MDF, laminate, acrylic, plastic, and wood
- Apply laminate and veneered finishes including filing and trimming laminate edges
- Operate equipment such as table saws, routers, sanders, drills, and other shop tools
- Use pneumatic nailers, staplers, and adhesives for assembly and lamination
- Maintain quality standards and ensure components meet project specifications
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace and assist other departments when needed
- Previous professional experience building cabinets from plans in a woodworking shop
- Experience applying laminate (Formica) and filing laminate edges
- Experience applying wood veneer
- Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings and work orders
- Skilled in the use of table saws, routers, drills, sanders, and pneumatic nailers
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
