OPTI STAFFING IS HIRING! Position:
Plastic Fabricator
Location:
Tigard, OR Pay: $20–$25/hr doe
Schedule:
Full-Time | Monday–Thursday 2:15pm to 12:45am
We are partnering with a well-established manufacturing company specializing in custom plastic fabrication and engineered solutions. They are looking for a motivated Entry-Level Plastic Fabricator to join their manufacturing team. This is a great opportunity for someone with manufacturing, fabrication, or mechanical experience who is looking to build their skills in a hands-on production environment.
What You'll Do:- Prepare plastic components for fabrication and assembly
- Read and interpret engineered drawings, work orders, and bills of materials
- Weld and fabricate various types of plastics according to engineering specifications
- Build components using both inch and metric measurements
- Measure, cut, deburr, drill, route, and finish plastic components
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
- Operate equipment such as drill presses, table saws, jigsaws, jointers, and routers
- Complete job tracking and production documentation
- Communicate issues involving work orders, drawings, material shortages, or equipment
- Follow established procedures and document production data as required
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Work independently while also contributing to a close-knit manufacturing team
- Hands-on training and opportunities to develop fabrication skills

- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1–2 years of manufacturing experience preferred
- Previous fabrication experience is a plus
- Ability to read and understand engineered drawings
- Ability to work with both inch and metric dimensions
- Ability to read and understand bills of materials
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Willingness to learn and accept feedback
- Manufacturing or fabrication experience preferred
- Ability to read and interpret drawings
- Comfortable using hand tools and measuring equipment
- Ability to safely use drills and other power tools
- Basic computer and documentation skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift and carry up to 35 lbs.

- Deburring tools and countersinks
- Hand scrapers, chisels, utility knives, and precision cutting tools

- Some noise and plastic chips on the manufacturing floor
