Broadway Rose Theatre Company (BRTC), Oregon’s premier musical theatre company, seeks an experienced development professional to provide strategic support in advancing our fundraising work. This full‑time, exempt, hybrid position reports to the Executive Director and drives the strategy and implementation of annual donor engagement efforts, while acting as the lead writer for all grant and fundraising communications.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Grants and Foundation Relationships- Partner with Artistic Director and Executive Director to determine grant strategy
- Manage foundation giving calendaring cycle, including application, decision, follow‑up
- Write grant proposals and supporting materials
- Coordinate with other BRTC departments to maintain accurate, up‑to‑date data for grant reporting
- Research and pursue new opportunities for grant funding
- Manage 2‑3 annual fundraising appeals, including strategy, segmentation, timelines, copy, and cross‑departmental collaboration
- Advise Executive Director, Artistic Director, and development team on donor engagement strategy
- Input donor research and engagement notes into database
- Support planning and execution of donor cultivation and stewardship events; attend events as a BRTC ambassador to develop and strengthen donor relationships
- Assist with planning of annual fundraising Gala, including vendor, staff, and volunteer coordination
- Research new corporate prospects and identify growth opportunities within existing sponsors; advise ED on solicitation strategy and develop supporting materials as needed
- Support Development Coordinator with sponsor account management and communication
- Lead cross‑department collaboration and communication related to development efforts
- Partner with marketing team to determine and negotiate design and data needs for fundraising campaigns

Qualifications Required- Bachelor’s degree or 3+ years’ experience in not‑for‑profit fundraising/donor development
- Strong persuasive and creative writing skills; excellent proofreading ability
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills; ability to manage multiple priorities
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively across departments
- Availability for occasional evenings and weekends
- Appreciation for the arts
- Experience with Tessitura or comparable donor database / CRM
- Demonstrated success cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding individual donors
- Experience working in the arts; passion for musical theatre
- Full-time, exempt salaried: $55,000–$62,500 annually, DOE
