The ideal Salesperson is passionate about fashion and styling and has the ability to cultivate and grow a customer following, both digitally and in-store.
Responsibilities- Set and achieve sales goals for both in-store and digital sales using available tools (e.g., text and social media).
- Build lasting relationships with customers.
- Provide best service to customers on their terms.
- Offer honest and confident feedback to customers about style and fit.
- Seek fashion and product knowledge to build expertise.
- Collaborate with the team to keep the department customer-ready, including filling orders, stocking, re-merchandising, price markdowns, and light cleaning.
- Grow relationships by opening new Nordstrom Rewards program accounts.
- Work flexible hours and schedule as needed based on business requirements.
- Occasionally support duties in departments other than the one originally hired to.
- Excellent communication and people skills.
- Self‑motivated and goal‑oriented.
- Strong interest in using networking and technology to achieve sales goals.
- Ability to excel in a team environment.
- Capable of prioritizing multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
- Organized with strong follow‑through.
- Flexible schedule based on business needs.
- Continuous movement for 6–8 hours per shift, including frequent bending, twisting, squatting, flexing, and reaching.
- Frequent use of hands for grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling.
- Handling bulky and awkwardly shaped items, including reaching for and lifting items above the head.
- Regularly lifting items up to 10 pounds, occasionally up to 25 pounds.
Pay range: $0.00 – $0.00 annually (varies by location). Commission for apparel, shoes, and accessories sales typically ranges from 3% to 14.5%; beauty and men’s fragrance sales roles receive 3%.
