The Guest Support Specialist partners with FPTV case managers to assist guests in a 24‑hour shelter setting, helping maintain a safe, clean, and supportive environment. This position interacts with other staff members and supervisors and provides additional support wherever it’s needed. Our ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic environment, ready to adapt as the shelter’s needs evolve—no two days are ever the same.

• 1+ years of experience in similar positions, e.g., direct care, guest assistant, front desk work.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish strongly preferred to support effective communication with the diverse communities we serve.
• Strong integrity and commitment to client satisfaction.
• Passionate about providing excellent treatment and care for clients, staff, and vendors.
• Proficient multitasking skills.
• Clear and professional verbal and written communication skills and the ability to maintain prompt follow‑through.
• Ability to authentically connect with others and meet participants ‘where they are’ while maintaining appropriate and professional boundaries.
• Ability to navigate challenging discussions with appropriate boundaries and confidentiality.
• Pleasant, patient, and friendly attitude.
• Attention to detail.
• Excellent listening skills.
• Strong work ethic and team player mentality.
• Ability to handle complaints and challenging clients professionally.
• Ability & willingness to cover additional hours outside of regular shift, including holidays and inclement weather (preferred).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Docs.
• Ability to pass a pre‑employment background check and drug screen.
• Due to federal funding, drug use, including marijuana, is prohibited during employment.
• Must be 18 or older and have reliable transportation.

• Willing to pick up additional shifts or hours based on organizational needs and personal availability (preferred).
• Familiarity with Apricot or guest registration databases.
• Familiarity with Google Drive and Outlook.
• CPR/First Aid/Narcan Certification.
• Valid food handler’s card.
