The New Hampshire Veterans Home has a full-time, 1st shift vacancy for a Recreational Therapist I-II.
Proposed Schedule- 8:00am - 4:30pm shifts
- Varying weekends (additional $2.00/hour)
- Varying holidays

Summary Recreation Therapist ITo implement and review recreational therapy activities in order to promote the constructive use of leisure time, physical well-being and socialization of patients/clients/residents in the New Hampshire Veterans Home.
Recreation Therapist IITo provide recreational therapy review and evaluation and to develop and implement recreational therapy treatment programs in the New Hampshire Veterans Home.

Each additional year of approved formal education may be substituted for one year of required work experience and/or each additional year of approved work experience may be substituted for one year of required formal education.
- Minimum Qualifications
Education/
Experience:
Equivalent combination of 3 years of education and experience after completion of high school.
- National Council for Therapeutic Recreation Certification (NCTRC) and authorization to use the initials of CTRS (Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist)
- Recreational Therapist license valid in NH

- One year of employment in the current job title
- Satisfactory performance evaluation within the past 12 months
- Recommendation for promotion by supervisor(s) and approval by the director of nursing
- Minimum Qualifications
Education/
Experience:
Bachelor's degree and 1 year of experience OR equivalent combination of 5 years of education and experience after completion of high school. Must include at least 1 year working as a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS).
- National Council for Therapeutic Recreation Certification (NCTRC) and authorization to use the initials of CTRS (Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist)
- Recreational Therapist license valid in NH
