Position OverviewFull-time 1st shift vacancy for a Licensed Practical Nurse I-II. Proposed schedule: 6:45 AM – 3:15 PM shifts, every other weekend (additional $2.00/hour). Direct Care and Nursing stipend up to $25.00/week. Build a career and make a difference in a veteran’s life.

- LPN I:
Performs nursing care to residents within an assigned work unit under supervision of a Registered Nurse. Acts in accordance with nursing department guidelines. - LPN II
:
Performs certified level nursing care to residents within an assigned work unit under supervision of a Registered Nurse. May work in a charge nurse capacity and acts in accordance with nursing department guidelines.
Each additional year of approved formal education may be substituted for one year of required work experience and vice versa.
Minimum Qualifications- LPN I
- Education:
Completion of a recognized school of practical nursing approved by the State Board of Nursing Education and Nurse Registration. - Experience:
No experience required beyond training. - License/Certification:
Current license as a practical nurse or temporary permit pending licensing exam.

- Education:
Completion of a recognized practical nursing school approved by the Board. - Experience:
Three years as an LPN. - License/Certification:
Current license and certification by NFLPN or recognized organization.
- Education:
- Completion of experience and certification requirements of LPN II.
- Successful performance evaluation.
- Supervisor’s recommendation.
- LPN I
- Documents nursing care in resident records, noting problems, progress, and actions.
- Administers prescribed medications and makes notations before and after, guarding against polypharmacy issues.
