Additional Hourly Differentials:

• 2nd shift: +$4.00
• 3rd shift: +$7.00
• Weekends: +$2.00

Shift Schedules:

• 2nd shift: 3:00 pm – 11:30 pm (8‑hr shifts only)
• 3rd shift: 11:00 pm – 7:00 am (8‑hr shifts only)
• Every other weekend (subject to differential)

Full‑time Licensed Practical Nurses are required to provide direct care and nursing support for residents of the New Hampshire Veterans Home, located at 139 Winter Street, Tilton, NH 03276. The role includes a nursing stipend of up to $25 per week.

Licensed Practical Nurse I performs nursing care to residents under RN supervision and follows nursing department guidelines. Licensed Practical Nurse II provides certified‑level nursing care, may work in a charge nurse capacity, and also follows the department's guidelines.

• Document nursing care and progress in residents’ records.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor for polypharmacy effects.
• Apply nursing process components to develop and update individualized Plan‑of‑Care.
• Supervise LNA staff and conduct unit rounds to ensure quality care and safety.
• Report routine and unusual findings to the nurse manager, perform hand‑off communication, and ensure continuity of care.
• Collaborate with physicians, allied health professionals, and consulting teams.

• LPN I: Completion of a recognized practical nursing program; no prior experience required aside from training; current license or temporary permit from New Hampshire Board of Nursing.
• LPN II: Completion of same program; minimum three years of LPN experience; current license plus certification from the National Federation of Licensed Practical Nurses or a recognized organization.

Each additional year of formal education may substitute for one year of required work experience and vice versa.

• Fulfillment of LPN II experience and certification criteria.
• Successful performance evaluation.
• Supervisor recommendation.
