This is a multi-discipline recruitment that will result in the hiring of one of the following disciplines:
Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant. All Nurse Practitioners applicants should apply to posting: CBTD-CB VA offers a comprehensive total rewards package. Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Provides comprehensive, team-based home care for Veterans
• Perform initial histories and physical examination on outpatients
• Provide ongoing outpatient care for assigned patients
• Screen outpatients to determine the need for further care
• Prescribe medications within the defined scope of practice
• Order diagnostic studies such as laboratory tests, x-rays, and electrocardiograms.
• Review need for and order health promotion and disease prevention measures
• Initiate, respond to and expedite request for consultations, special tests, and studies
• Provide education and counseling of patients and families in preventive care, medical conditions, and use of prescribed treatments and drugs
• Serve as a preceptor for PA residents and students as requested
