LPN - Med​/Surg​/Telemetry

Position Overview

Provides direct patient care, including IV therapy, for patients within the scope of the Licensed Practical Nurse Act under the direction of a registered nurse. Coordinates with ancillary nursing staff and the multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.

• Use the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Provide care based on physical, psycho/social, educational, safety, and related criteria appropriate to the ages of patients served.
• Communicate effectively and professionally with patients, family, guests, and co-workers to ensure a quality patient experience.
• Adapt to rapid change in a positive manner throughout the day as unit or department needs shift.
• Manage personal professional development and maintain required clinical knowledge, technical skills, training, and credentials.
• Perform other related duties as required.

• High‑school diploma or equivalent.
• No prior work experience required.

• Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of practice.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.

• IV Therapy credentials.
• Strong time‑management and organizational skills.
• Good judgment, confidentiality, and the ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent interpersonal and delegation skills.

May involve moving objects up to 100 pounds occasionally, and 25–50 pounds frequently. Exposure to blood, body fluids, potential communicable diseases, hazardous medications, and other risks associated with a patient‑care setting. Reasonable accommodations are available.
