Position Summary

Reporting to the School Administrators, the Secondary School Secretary plays a key role in the effective operations of the office through the performance of a variety of secretarial and administrative duties. The successful candidate will provide the necessary support to the school, students, and parents/guardians while ensuring that integrity of information is maintained.

Qualifications

Education and Experience
  • Post-secondary diploma in Office Administration or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Experience with board-specific software such as Aspen and Spark Rock is considered an asset.
Skills And Abilities
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently and effectively.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrated analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to establish priorities and consistently meet deadlines.
Compensation:

Salary as per the current COPE collective agreement $27.67 - $32.07 per hour
