Salary ranges from $52,000 to $87,000 based on experience
Responsible for managing a company's stock and acquiring necessary materials, equipment, and services from suppliers to meet business needs. This role involves using manual or computerized systems for inventory tracking, negotiating with vendors, preparing purchasing documents, and ensuring stock levels are optimized to prevent shortages and excess costs.

- Purchasing:
Sourcing and ordering goods and services, including negotiating prices, terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers. - Inventory Control:
Maintaining accurate records of inventory levels using manual or computerized systems to oversee the quantity, type, and value of stock. - Supplier Management:
Contacting suppliers to resolve delivery issues, such as shortages or missed deliveries. - Order Preparation:
Preparing purchase orders, requisitions, and other purchasing files and reports. - Stock Management:
Managing stock rotation and accounting for outdated stock, as well as maintaining stock levels for production and operations. - Data Entry:
Inputting data for production scheduling, stock replenishment, and inventory adjustments into various systems. - Analysis:
Analyzing market conditions, financial reports, and pricing trends to make informed purchasing decisions and establish reasonable prices.

The ability to effectively negotiate with suppliers to secure the best quality products and services at the lowest prices. - Analytical

Interpreting data from various sources to understand trends and make informed decisions about pricing and purchasing. - Organizational
Skills:
Being organized, methodical, and adaptable to manage multiple tasks and changing environments. - Communication
Skills:
Excellent communication, collaboration, and teamwork skills for interacting with colleagues and suppliers. Communicate effectively in English and French (an asset) - Technical Proficiency:
Familiarity with manual and computerized inventory systems and other relevant software
- 2-3 years experience in a procurement role
