Core Logging Geologist

Join Lake Shore Gold as a Core Logging Geologist in Timmins, ON on a 12-month contract. Support underground diamond drill operations by logging core and performing essential geological tasks.

This role involves assisting with core logging for the Bell Creek and Timmins West mine sites, vital for ongoing regional exploration projects. Responsibilities also include creating diamond drill hole layouts, managing daily drill statistics, and interpreting geological sections. Candidates must be able to relocate to Timmins for this non-camp based position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Log core samples accurately for various projects

• Assist in diamond drill hole layout creation

• Enter daily drill statistics into databases

• Conduct sectional interpretations of targeted zones

• Comply with health and safety regulations

Requirements:

• Eligible for PGO or GIT membership in Ontario

• 1-3 years of diamond drill project experience

• Familiar with core logging and sampling procedures

• Proficient in Microsoft Office

• Must be eligible to work in Canada
