Core Logging Geologist in Ontario

Explore a rewarding role as a Core Logging Geologist with Lake Shore Gold based in Timmins, Ontario. This position involves logging drill core and supporting mining exploration initiatives.

This is a 12-month contract role, requiring relocation to Timmins and a Monday through Friday work schedule. You will work closely with the underground diamond drill team, focusing on core logging at the Bell Creek and Timmins West mine sites. Additional tasks include assisting with drillhole layouts, entering statistics, and providing sectional interpretations on target areas.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform logging of drill core samples

• Assist in creating layouts for diamond drill holes

• Enter statistics and report on daily drilling activities

• Provide insights through sectional mineral interpretation

• Uphold health and safety standards in all tasks

Requirements:

• Must have PGO membership or eligibility in Ontario

• 1-3 years of relevant diamond drilling experience

• Familiar with core logging and handling processes

• Proficient using Microsoft Office applications

• Must be eligible to work in Canada
