Geologist Core Logging

Position: Geologist for Core Logging at Lake Shore Gold
Join Lake Shore Gold as a Geologist specializing in core logging in Timmins, ON. This role is perfect for those with diamond drilling experience who want to contribute to exploration efforts.

You'll work on a 12-month contract at the Exploration Office, mainly logging core from the Bell Creek and Timmins West mines. Additional tasks include assisting with drill hole layout and entering drill statistics, enabling an in-depth understanding of geological formations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct core logging for diamond drill projects

• Help create hole layouts and capture daily statistics

• Interpret geological sections of exploration zones

• Collaborate with the underground drilling team

• Maintain strict health and safety standards

Requirements:

• Eligible for PGO or GIT membership in Ontario

• Experience ranging from 1 to 3 years in the field

• Knowledge of logging and core handling

• Basic computer skills, especially in Microsoft Office

• Must work legally in Canada
