Resource Geology Chief at Lake Shore Gold

Join Lake Shore Gold as the Chief Resource Geologist in Timmins, ON. Lead resource estimation efforts and collaborate closely with various teams in this pivotal full-time role.
As the Chief Resource Geologist, you will take on the Qualified Person duties, ensuring quality in mineral resource calculations and geological modeling.

Your role will include mentoring staff, overseeing compliance with industry best practices, and fostering teamwork between exploration and engineering teams. This position offers a vital platform to contribute to the efficiency of resource planning at mining sites.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead mineral resource calculations and database governance

• Supervise the Resource Geology team and QAQC processes

• Conduct reviews of geological data and QA/QC programs

• Produce necessary geological models and reports

• Collaborate to develop long-term mining plans
Requirements:

• Degree in Geoscience with current APGO membership

• 10 years’ relevant experience in gold exploration

• Familiarity with 3D modeling software required

• Commitment to safety and best practices

• Required relocation to Timmins area
