Environmental Technician West Mine

Join Lake Shore Gold as an Environmental Technician at the Timmins West Mine in Timmins, ON, on a contract basis. This role focuses on environmental and compliance monitoring alongside implementing safety measures.

In this position, you will be responsible for various tasks, including environmental compliance monitoring, data management, and calibration of monitoring equipment. You'll work closely with the Site Environmental Coordinator and will need to demonstrate strong communication skills and environmental awareness to promote health and safety on-site.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct environmental monitoring and site inspections

• Manage monitoring data including analysis and quality assurance

• Report regulatory non-compliance issues to supervisors

• Perform equipment maintenance and calibration

• Develop and support the Environmental Management System

Requirements:

• Post-secondary education in Environmental Sciences

• Good knowledge of relevant environmental legislation

• Valid Class G License required

• Strong communication skills

• Ability to work with minimal supervision
