Underground Electrician at Gowest Gold

Join Gowest Gold as an Underground Electrician, where you will ensure electrical safety and efficiency in the Bradshaw Mine operation. Contribute to both underground and surface mining activities through hands-on maintenance and troubleshooting.

This position reports to the Maintenance Superintendent and is vital for the safe installation and repair of electrical systems. You will support mining operations by maintaining reliable infrastructure and mobile equipment while committing to safety and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform electrical inspections and maintenance on mine systems

• Install, test, and maintain electrical equipment per regulations

• Troubleshoot faults to aid production and minimize downtime

• Maintain power distribution systems, substations, and motors

• Read and interpret electrical drawings and technical documents

Requirements:

• Relevant electrical trade certification required

• Experience in mining or similar industrial environments

• Strong troubleshooting skills and problem-solving capability
