This position will join our team working in Timmins, Ontarioon a full-time basis. The schedule will be4 days on, 3 days off.
This position offers a salary range of $72.00 - $75.00 perhour.
Primary Responsibilities
The Project Foreperson will provide overall operational leadership for Hancon's underground longhole activities and act as a key coordination point between Hancon personnel and mine-site management.
Key responsibilities include:
- Provide overall leadership of Hancon's project workforce
- Coordinate supervisors, drill crews, blasting personnel and cable-bolting activities
- Develop and maintain daily and weekly production priorities
- Coordinate manpower and equipment requirements
- Work closely with client operations, engineering, maintenance, ground control and management
- Monitorproject productivity, utilization and operational performance
- Identify production constraints and implement corrective actions
- Coordinate project scheduling and work-area readiness
- Ensure appropriate staffing levels are maintained
- Support equipment planning, maintenance coordination and resource allocation
- Review shift reports, production results and project performance
- Leadsafety performance and ensure compliance with applicable legislation andsite standards
- Participate in operational meetings and project planning
- Support employee performance, training and development
- Ensure Hancon's project standards, expectations and operating procedures are consistently maintained
Preferred Experience
- Minimum5+ years of underground supervisory and/or project coordination experience
- Ontario First Line Production Supervisor Underground Hard Rock Mining Common Core
- Extensive underground hard-rock mining experience
- Strong production longhole drilling and blasting background
- Previous experience managing or coordinating underground mining crews
- Proven leadership and decision-making capability
- Strong planning, scheduling and organizational skills
- Abilityto effectively coordinate with client management and technical departments
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Valid First Aid Certificate
- Valid driver’s license
- Eligible to work in Canada
