As a reputable service provider based in BC, Big Country Equipment seeks a licensed Heavy Duty Mechanic for their mining operations. Ideal candidates will have extensive experience diagnosing and repairing heavy equipment, particularly with Caterpillar machinery. This role requires a commitment to safety and the ability to work independently under a rotational schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
• Carry out diagnostics and repair on mining machinery
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs
• Test machinery to ensure optimal operation
• Adhere to safety protocols and standards on-site
• Recommend and implement improvements for reliability
Requirements:
• Minimum three years in heavy equipment repair
• Valid provincial trade certification is preferred
• Experience with Caterpillar and other prominent brands
• Knowledge of electrical and hydraulic systems
• Must pass safety and background checks
