As a key member of the Distribution group, the Journeyperson Powerline Technician will report to the Construction Foreman. This unionized position requires local residency and involves project work that emphasizes both overhead and underground electrical systems. Candidates will be integral in mentoring apprentices while ensuring adherence to safety protocols and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain poles, towers, and guy wires

• Install power lines and associated equipment

• Conduct energized and de-energized stringing tasks

• Perform system switching and UG cable testing

• Mentor junior personnel and manage safety practices

Requirements:

• Journeyperson Powerline Technician certification

• Experience in utility construction sectors

• Proficiency in energized work and system switching

• Valid Drivers Licence with acceptable abstract

• Confined Space Certificate and First Aid certifications preferred
