OBJECTIVESThe Audio Engineer employs a high level of expertise and experience in live audio systems and production to ensure that INSIGHT Church campuses and venues can deliver purposeful, well-planned, and proficiently executed services and events, allowing individuals to experience God in a distraction‑free atmosphere. This role entails crafting a mix that aligns with the mood the Senior Pastor aims to convey, while also supporting the audio needs of all participants involved in the church service.
Ultimately, the Audio Engineer's mission is to glorify God by providing exceptional audio services.
As an Audio Engineer, you will utilize your knowledge to manage and optimize sound systems, ensuring clear and high-quality audio for all events. Your responsibilities include delivering a mix that reflects the desired ambiance during live worship experiences and overseeing broadcast audio. You will balance sound levels, eliminate feedback, and guarantee optimal audio quality for every seat in the venue. Your objective is to provide meticulously planned and executed services that facilitate a worship environment conducive to experiencing God without distractions.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Be a leader on the campus, executing the vision of the church and upholding worship experience standards.
- Assist in the overall leadership of the campus by overseeing the sound of INSIGHT Church in live services/events operating as the primary FOH mix engineer and in-ear mixes.
- Assist in the production execution of audio services forall weekend andnon‑weekend services and special events (weekly run‑throughs and all‑church events). Full calendar to be provided

- Oversee all Audio Team staff, volunteers, training, structures, and systems at the campus.
- Assist with accurate and detailed documentation of guidelines, projects, workflow processes and procedures relating to audio systems.
- Maintain the campus' technical equipment and work with the Tech Department for repairs and upgrades. Serving as a troubleshooter for audio systems and led wallsat INSIGHT Church Tinley Park, including updating hardware, software & equipment firmware, diagnose and resolve audio and network issues, and assist with overseeing a general preventative maintenance plan for audio systems.
- Multi track record and mix worship services and rehearsals along with post production mix.
- Prepare auditorium / venue for services, including sound system, band equipment, lighting, tech equipment (led wall) etc.
- Maintain a basic level of knowledge in lighting and broadcast systems to help the team in any capacity.
- Implement the infrastructure of all standard operating systems, cultural expectations, volunteer leadership for the area you oversee.
