Civil Engineering Associate - Entry-Level

Overview

Join Farnsworth Group as a Civil Engineering Associate - Entry-Level (May 2026) in Tinley Park, IL. You will work with local municipalities and other clients alongside our experienced engineers to plan, design, and manage a variety of projects including commercial, industrial, municipal, water and wastewater treatment, and infrastructure.

• Water distribution and sewer collection systems design
• Storm water management and collection system layout and design
• Booster and pump station design
• Water treatment design
• Collaborate with other Farnsworth Group disciplines
• Organize and perform projects from inception to completion
• Construction observation / resident engineering
• Permit submittals / compliance
• Communication with clients and attendance at council and/or board meetings

• BS in Civil Engineering
• 0-2 years of engineering experience
• Written and oral communication skills
• Knowledge of AutoCAD and/or Civil3D a plus
• Expected to work toward FE/PE Certification

Salary Range: $66,000 - $80,000. Salary to be determined by education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, as well as internal and external equity.
