Job Summary
Physical Therapist – Illinois Bone & Joint Institute (IBJI). The position is under the general direction of the Facility Manager and focuses on providing superior outpatient rehabilitation services through a collaborative care model with our physicians to optimize performance and enhance the quality of function for our patients.
Responsibilities- Exceptional patient care
- Interpret physician orders, perform initial evaluations, and establish treatment plans and functional goals
- Upgrade and amend treatment goals as necessary during the episode of care
- Document patient status to physicians per compliance guidelines of IBJI rehab
- Determine appropriate discharge timeline and follow‑up
- Supervise Rehabilitation Technicians with patient care and administrative staff as needed
- Maintain daily paperwork: initial evaluations, daily notes, progress notes, discharges, and home exercise programs
- Stay current with billing policies and demonstrate ethical billing practices
- Maintain active state license by earning CEUs through outside courses and IBJI sponsored educational opportunities
- Develop positive relationships with the physician teams at IBJI
- Participate in programs sponsored by IBJI: mentoring, clinical educator, special interest group, community outreach
- Graduate from an accredited Physical Therapy Program
- Licensed or eligible to sit for boards in the state of Illinois
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment
- Professional and effective writing and verbal communication skills
- Ability to lift greater than 25 pounds
- Demonstrate good understanding of proper body mechanics for lifting, pulling, pushing
- Ability to stand and sit for sequences of time greater than 30 minutes
- Ability to work on a computer for lengthy times during the day

$82,000 – $102,000 Yearly
