Job Title: Part-Time Mohs Technician

Location: Tinley Park, Palos Heights
Job Type: Part-Time

Dermatology Associates is a busy, patient-focused dermatology practice committed to providing high-quality care in a professional and compassionate environment. We are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Mohs Technician to join our team on a part-time basis.

Position Summary:
The Mohs Technician plays a critical role in assisting the Mohs surgeon during procedures by preparing and processing tissue specimens, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to laboratory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare, process, and stain tissue specimens for Mohs micrographic surgery
• Perform cryostat sectioning and maintain high-quality slide preparation
• Accurately map and label specimens according to surgeon’s direction
• Maintain and operate laboratory equipment, including cryostat and staining systems
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, CLIA, and laboratory safety standards
• Assist with inventory management of lab supplies
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient lab environment
• Collaborate closely with the Mohs surgeon and clinical team

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a Mohs Technician required
• Strong knowledge of histology techniques, including frozen sectioning
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Certification in histotechnology (HT/HTL) preferred but not required
