Guardian Security Services, Inc. is hiring a Security Officer for a gated community in Orland Park, IL.

Shift: Thursday through Sunday, 4:00 p.m. – 12:00 a.m.

Compensation: $18.00 per hour.

Employment Type: Full-time or Part-time.

Location: Orland Park, IL.

Your Responsibilities:

• Understand and follow post instructions for assigned post.
• Maintain knowledge of additional and emergency post instructions as required by the client.
• Implement access control procedures set by management.
• Utilize access control, visitor management and CCTV systems as needed.
• Document and report property damage and special occurrences.
• Monitor CCTV to guard against theft and trespassing.
• Respond to incidents and document events accurately.
• Greet residents and visitors professionally.
• Sign in and out guests and vendors.
• Provide excellent customer service, public relations and maintain an impeccable image.

Requirements:

• Shift availability:
  Thursday through Sunday, 4 p‑12 a.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent observation skills.
• Remain calm and composed in all situations.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Minimum age 21.
• High school diploma, GED or equivalent military service record.
• Valid Permanent Employee Registration Card (PERC) or willing to apply.
• 20‑hour training certificate or completion within 30 days of employment.
• Pass pre‑employment screening, including drug testing.
• Maintain an impeccable image and professional grooming standards.
• Display mature demeanor, personality and attitude.
• Strong customer‑service, public‑relations and cross‑cultural interaction skills.
• Strong verbal, written and non‑verbal communication skills.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Willingness to use access‑control software.
• Maintain a working telephone at all times.
• Reliable transportation.
