Location:

Wall, NJ (Hybrid after 6 months). Compensation: $120,000 - $130,000 per year + discretionary bonus + excellent benefits (including 401(k) match).

We are seeking an experienced Controller to oversee the daily operations of the accounting department and grantor trust. Reporting to the CFO/COO, this role manages a team of 2 accountants and 2 trust administrators while ensuring accurate, timely financial reporting across multiple entities, including nonprofit, for-profit, PAC, and trust organizations.

• Lead and mentor accounting and trust administration teams.
• Oversee month- and year-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Prepare annual budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis across 8 entities.
• Manage cash flow, treasury functions, payroll, and expense approvals.
• Serve as primary contact for external audits and tax filings.
• Ensure strong internal controls, policies, and compliance with GAAP.
• Act as subject matter expert for MS Dynamics 365 BC and support system/process improvements.
• Provide financial reports and insights for board meetings.

• Bachelor s degree in Accounting (CPA/MBA preferred).
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 3+ years in management.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and multi-entity accounting (nonprofit, for-profit, trusts, cooperatives).
• Advanced Excel skills; experience with financial reporting tools (Power BI, Jet Reports, Entrinsik).
• Experience with MS Dynamics 365 BC strongly preferred.
• Proven leadership skills and ability to meet tight deadlines with accuracy.
