Overview

Development Operations Manager

Location:

Neptune, NJ.

VNA Health Group is looking for a Development Operations Manager responsible for leading and managing the operational and administrative infrastructure that sustains a comprehensive, growth-oriented development program. The Development Operations Manager ensures the integrity and effectiveness of fundraising systems, including Raiser’s Edge NXT and giving platforms, supporting all aspects of gift processing, reporting, analytics, and stewardship for Visiting Nurse Association Health Group
. The position partners closely with Development, Finance, and Marketing colleagues, and coordinates with program staff as needed to ensure accuracy in gift allocation, donor intent, and reporting.

This position is primarily office-based at VNA Health Group headquarters, with flexibility for up to two remote workdays per week based on departmental needs and performance.

Responsibilities
  • Database Management & Reporting: Manage the Raiser’s Edge NXT fundraising database, ensuring accurate, timely, and consistent entry of all constituent and gift data. Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to monitor fundraising performance, pipeline progress, and donor engagement metrics. Lead monthly reconciliation processes with Finance and ensure database hygiene on an annual basis.
  • Gift Processing & Financial Coordination: Oversee end-to-end gift processing, ensuring prompt acknowledgment, deposit, and allocation of all contributions. Partner with Finance and program staff to ensure gifts are allocated and reported accurately in accordance with donor intent. Maintain audit-ready records in coordination with Finance.
  • Operational Infrastructure: Maintain giving platforms (e.g., Give Smart, online giving portals), user access, and process documentation. Support campaign and program reporting needs, including Board and Philanthropy Advisory Board materials.
  • Data-Driven Donor Management: Collaborate with the Chief Philanthropy Officer and development staff to provide data insights for prospect identification, segmentation, and stewardship. Support major gift tracking and moves management metrics. Pull all fundraising appeal mailing and email lists from Raiser’s Edge and collaborate with the Philanthropy team to review, edit, and finalize all lists.
  • Communications &

    Collaboration:

    Work collaboratively with all members of the Development team and colleagues across Finance, Marketing, and program departments to support coordinated, data-informed fundraising operations. Partner with Communications and Marketing on fundraising-related content, website updates, newsletters, and stewardship materials. Serve as administrative lead for internal philanthropy operations meetings.
  • Special Events: Provide support for special events, including in-office logistical support prior to events, and attendance and on-site staffing assistance at the events.
  • Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Competencies &

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in related discipline required.
  • Minimum 3 years of development operations experience.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Raiser’s Edge NXT or comparable CRM system.
  • Strong critical thinking, analytical and reporting skills, with ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills, with ability to manage multiple priorities and projects efficiently.
  • Attention to detail, accuracy, and accountability.
