About This Role

The Registered Nurse, Shore Care functions as a caregiver for a specific patient population to achieve desired outcomes. This role is ideal for those who are dedicated to providing effective direct care as part of an interdisciplinary team.

• Location: Tinton Falls, NJ
• Facility: Hackensack Meridian Health
• Schedule: Part-time, Night shift

• Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health or situation.
• Perform age and disease specific assessment/data collection independently.
• Recognize clinical and diagnostic status changes in patient status.
• Identify variables in patient/family education needs based on age and disease.
• Develop a plan of care that prescribes strategies and interventions.
• Formulate age and disease specific patient/family centered goals/outcomes.
• Communicate, coordinate, and implement the plan of care.
• Provide ongoing communication with patient/family and healthcare team.
• Implement age and disease specific care in an organized manner.
• Perform continuous Point-of-Care electronic documentation.

• Education:
  • Associate's degree in nursing or Diploma in Nursing required.
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
• Experience:
  • Minimum of two (2) years recent experience in specialty required (effective May 5, 2025).
  • Minimum of one (1) year experience in a floating professional environment required (effective May 5, 2025).

  • NJ State Professional Registered Nurse License required.
  • AHA Basic Health Care Life Support HCP Certification within 60 days of entering position required.
  • National Certification in area of specialty preferred when eligible.
